Winemaker Alsace Colmar

Based in the heart of the village of Ammerschwihr, the Simonis family has been cultivating vines for many generations, with expertise passed down since the 17th century! The grandparents, Joseph Simonis and Henri Clur, began bottling the wine, and Jean-Paul later diversified the wine range.

Since 1993, the winery has been managed by Jean-Marc Simonis, who runs the estate with his wife, Corinne. Having inherited a traditional and unique expertise, he now produces quality wines with passion on his ancestors' land.

With sustainable practices and respect for tradition in mind, all stages of production, vinification, and sales are handled within the winery. This meticulous work is necessary to extract the best from the grapes and produce balanced wines.

The Jean-Marc Simonis family winery extends over five hectares of vines. Located near Colmar, at the entrance to the Kaysersberg Valley, we craft our exceptional wines and vintages on a mineral-rich estate that benefits from various microclimates.

From our own harvest, our Alsatian wines are available in a wide range:

  • White wines: Edelzwicker, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer.
  • Alsatian Pinot Noir, vinified as a red or a rosé.
  • Our speciality, the Alsace Grand Cru of Kaefferkopf.
